BAD

Dont waste your money with this crap the bottoms are very small and not responsive at all . Frustrating and disappointing

Tricky but satisfying...

I play as many beat em ups as I can get my hands on and despite the inherent awkwardness of action games using touch controls this game excels. The Gods is actually much better than a great many of its full featured console counterparts. Heres the skinny... In a game like this, the most important thing is that punching someone in the face or cutting them in half with an axe feels like you are punching someone in the face or cutting them in half with an axe. It must feel right and in this game it does. The most disappointing thing about this game is that more people havent downloaded it. Your dollar is well spent here.

Meh

This game is rather boring unless you are interested in beat em ups

Great game!

The Gods is a great hack and slash game. It excels in graphics and artistic bacground. Worth your $0.99. I would like to suggest that if this was made like Order and Chaos Online, it would been so much better because of its interesting action gameplay and plus the nice graphics. I would have rate this 5 and would gladly pay more if it was a MMORPG

Just no

I played the game, but wen i try to continue from were i left of, it takes half hour to load, just so the whole screen is black, u see ur character run in same direction, n die automatically, i cant even load from were i left of cause it keeps doin it over n over n over again, not worth money till they fix this

Slow button response

Good game but had to quit because action button tend to not respond a lot along with direction stick. This causes very poor game play when trying to continue. Especially on boss encounters

Crashing

Every time I open the game it crashes, and I mean every time I cant play it and I wasted 0.99.

Fun Beatem Up, Grind-y, Needs Button Customization

I am really enjoying this action title so far, though I am having to grind through Challenge Mode in order to earn enough soul points for skill upgrades. Soul Points are earned for each enemy killed, and the points earned from challenge mode carry over to story mode (and vice versa). Of course you can bypass all the grinding with IAPs. The controls (i.e. the D-pad and other buttons) are pretty responsive, but the attack/defend/counter-attack buttons have some placement and size issues. There needs to be an option that allows the player to change the size and placement of the buttons. You get health/mana/blaze orbs from defeated enemies that replenish some of your health/mana/blaze meters, but the only way to get a full heal is to buy "Dragon Balls" with real money. However if you learn the bosses attack patterns and weaknesses, you probably wont need a full heal to finish the game.

the gods of crashing

it craches every time i want to play. ipod 4th ios 6.2 fix it please

Glitch 2

I cant believe no one else is saying this. I hope Im not the only one. Ive put in 10x the games value in IAP so I dont want to delete it. I am stuck at the beginning of a level where gold, silver and bronze statues come from the ground, fall to pieces then little purple gremlins come out to attack me. This goes on for hours, days, weeks what have you. It is an infinite battle and could not possibly be what is supposed to happen. Please fix this or let me have back my $10 and I will try to reinstall it.

Definitely worth $0.99, but not a classic

Im a big fan of button-mashing, combo-driven games and this one does not disappoint. When the screen is full of enemies, you can quickly roll from one enemy to another (or in a circle to group them together), start your assault, and roll away before they hit you :) I only have 3 gripes: 1. The bosses are unusually difficult at times. Some require bum-rushing (and hoping they dont kill you first); while others (final boss) require you to roll around for 15 minutes waiting on your mana to refill for one big attack at a time. 2. They try to infuse variety into the mix, but the game mechanics do not support it (like jumping on a platform when there is no jump button). 3. The game feels a bit rushed. The story is very cheaply done and some of the images in the shop look like scaled-up postage stamps. All in al, I definitely enjoyed the game, and I will probably pick it up and play a stage or two every so often on the harder difficulties.

Crashy pie

Its crashy pie, sometimes

CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every freaking time! I am use on iPod 4th gen

Nice

This game has so much potential, but the combat system isnt that smooth . Not sure if its because of the unreal engine or some problem with the code or artwork. If youre looking for a great RPG with unreal engine, try the Infinity Blade series

If you are a fan of Action RPGs, dont hesitate, BUY It!

Though you see minor bugs here and there, and the game reminds you of a copy cat of God of War, its awesome graphics thanks to unreal engine, long hours of game play, and continuous satisfying actions makes it a title worthy of 0.99c, and a must for ipad RPGs:hack & slash fans. The first patch fixed tons of bugs that made a lot of people unhappy with their purchase; the game overall runs smooth after the patch. In short, we do not have many action RPG titles with this level of graphics and game play on ios. So if you like this type of games, and have .99c in your pocket, just get it. ( I suggest the developer changes the poor screenshots that people check out before buying the game. I almost did not get the game because of the very bad first impression I got from em.)

Fix the glitch

Thats the only problem that Im having so far

Average and repetitive

Proceed to small arena, get locked in, kill a number of baddies, unlock arena and proceed to next arena. Rinse and repeat. Good graphics is not enough to make this any more interesting.

There is an infuriating bug where statues keep coming up

Out of the ground, and simply wont stop. No points are gained either. Fix it ASAP!!!

Help Im stuck on a ledge!!!!!

Ive been playing this game since it came out and I reached a spot that I cant pass. Its on a tree branch. There is a huge gap separating a cliff on the other side. How do I get there or is this just a glitch? Help.

We need more ios games like this.

Tons of content, hours and hours of gameplay. This surprised me about how long the game is but the game is brutally tough at times and the controls arent always responsive. It was definitely a difficult game for me. But also, I think the game was repetitive. Go into a room, kill, go into another room, kill, rinse and repeat. Its the same thing over and over. But even with these points, we need more of these story based games on ios. Great graphics and lots of content, it is worth 99 cents. One thing I cant say for most of the App Store games.
